shocks

I have had some pro comp shocks on my truck for 3 years now and its time for new ones. After hunting season i noticed a banging in the rear of my truck. After some checking I noticed the rubber bushings in the rear shocks are missing the bottom of the shocks are just hitting on the shock bolts. I have a 2 leveling kit in the front also. I am also changing the steering stab shock. I would like some input on what kind of shocks I should run. Do I need shocks that have more travel in them not so I dont bottom them out. Any suggestions would be a great help. Thanks for you time Garry

I have the Bilsteins on my truck for about 2 years (40K miles). They are a good shock but my earlier Edlebrok IAS were better and lasted about 100K miles with better damping. I don't think the Bilsteins will last that long.

I am pretty sure I got a little bit longer shock on the front after I put on the levelling kit.

You reduce the travel by whatever you lift it, so you may want to go with a 1.5-2 inch longer shock.
