She's in the shop now!
My trucks problem has been progressively getting worse :'(
It was non stop on Saturday. Every stop it was surging. Not a good feeling.
I had called the service guy on Friday and he says bring it in Monday. Well I knew it wasn't going to make the noise for him once we got there so we decided to get it on tape. Then I could show them. Well, the whole trip over (nearly 2 hours) it wouldn't do it. Maybe once, I think. So I'm thinking I'll have to pull off the video. But wouldn't you know it as soon as I pulled into the lot it let loose. I didn't dare shut her off. The husband sat with the little one while I ran inside. The service guy just looked at me and said "it's doing it isn't it?"
My thought? It don't usually sound like that. The diesel tech finds his way out to the truck and talks to the husband while I'm inside. Apparently the Diesel tech says that the trucks not suppose to do that. Ya Think??????????? :
It was very noticeable, not that you can miss that truck but you definately weren't gonna miss it then.
Well after a few tests he comes back and says they'll have to replace none other than the fuel injector pump. They have to order it and should be able to get it in tomorrow. ;D
We'll see how it goes.

Re:She's in the shop now!
whats the deal w. the vp-44's...i just replaced my original pump over the weekend w/ a rebuilt one from bosch, it's supposedly brought up to speed w/ all the latest mod's..is it really any better?....i see all you guys running your fueling boxes on levels 4 and 5 , i cranked mine one time and kaboom! how are you guys keeping these things from going? i bought a "pusher-pump" that im putting in over the weekend to help, do i have the same pump as the 02's now? any knowledge on this subject would be GREATLY APPRECIATED, im scared to crank it up at all.....

Re:She's in the shop now!
Just got off the phone with the service guy and apparently it's done.
That was quick! Apparently they had one in stock ??? so he tells me. Hmmmm is that a parts truck I see on the back lot?
I happened to ask if it was an original or a rebuilt, I remember reading that rebuilt was better. Well apparently he says it was a new part not remanufactured, as he put it. I then asked how long the part is covered for and he tells me 100,000 miles. Do I hope this original part is wonderful and lasts forever or do I hope that it just goes bad again before the 100,000 then I can demand a rebuilt?
Think I'll just be happy if she behaves until we're done with the house.
back to Orlando I go
Sorry I can't be of help to you Barracuda. I could guess at a few answers for you if ya like? ;D
Thanks all
