P0500 No Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal

P1765 Trans 12 Volt Supply Relay Control Circuit

P1693 DTC Detected In ECM Or PCM

None are VP44 related.

Are you sure you're fuel sender is on the up and up.

Perhaps you just ran out of fuel, very out of fuel, and the 1.5 gallons wasn't enough.

Or, you have an air sucking hole above the level of the fuel?

Did you try cracking the injector lines and checking for fuel there?

pop some injector nuts and crank her over until you get fuel out of them--then close em up and she should start shortly--chris

I would check what phox suggested, just crack a couple of injector lines to get the air out from between the injector pump and injectors, loosen at least one turn on two to three injectors, wrap a shop rag around the fitting to absorb the diesel when it starts shooting out, it will run rough but will start, you can tighten fitting while truck is running.

Joe a couple of months ago, I was stopping for fuel, stopped at the light at the exit. Had just under 1/8 tank. When I started from the light it lost prime. I walked to the station, filled a can, walked back and put in three gallons. It took forever to get a prime up and involved cracking lines etc. Finally it caught and fired up. Lost about three hours in the middle of the night fooling with it. All that had happened was that I picked up a slug of air with the engine wound up.

I would try cracking three of the lines and see if you get fuel. If you do it should start.

I'd try what the others suggested. If it is your VP, I'm still impressed that you got that kind of mileage out of it regardless. And all of that mileage being bombed.

Also be aware of the infamous 1/4 tank syndrome. Over the years I've had many tow ins due to the fact that the tank had simply run dry, but the gauge showed 1/8 to 1/4. My latest one I drove to a good customers home and got his truck started by rolling it out of the drive way and loosening the injector lines. We drove it a few blocks to the station and it took 33.7 gallons. As dodge owners we all know that there isn't a truck out there that will take that much fuel if the gauge is showing an 1/8th or more. Most of the time when the low fuel light comes on the tanks will only take 26-28 gallons, if everything is working to par. food for thought..........
