Running warmer and throwing codes
Throwing codes, Dealer LP fix and warranty questions
68,500 so far and no engine problems whatsoever, until now. I have been noticing lower fuel mileage and today it stalled right after I started it. I was noticing today after that that the temp gauge was showing a little warmer than it has in the past and not long after that, the engine light came on. I did the ignition thing and came up with a 1693 and 0216. I took it down to Autozone and they said they can't check codes anymore, starting about 3 weeks ago. I guess I will run it to the dealer tomorrow to have them check it out, it is still under warranty. I am leaving for Lake Powell in a month with a large boat in tow, I am glad this is happening now! Do you think the Dealer will deal with this, or is he going to wait until it fails?

Well, then, I guess it stays. I was hoping for some input on the LP problem. Taking it to the dealer tomorrow. He says he has replaced the stock lift pump with the in tank pump on two 2nd gens this week, both with around 65,000 miles. He said something about I had a 5 year, 70,000 miles diesel warranty. I Have a 7 year, 100,000 miles powertrain warranty, is the diesel engine part of the powertrain? I have had my truck for 5 years and 1 month, so the 5 year thing is worrying me.
