Rubber Hoses - Life Expectancy?

I only have about 42k miles on my truck but it's been in service almost 5 years since I bought it new. I'm getting ready to do my 18 month coolant change out and I'm thinking that I should go ahead and replace the radiator hoses, the torque converter oil cooler hoses and any others that I find. All of the hoses feel ok but 4-5 years is a long time in an engine bay. I'm wondering what kind of service life other owners have experienced with these type of hoses. I've been using the Fleetguard ES Complete 50-50 premix ethlene glycol coolant for the last 3 years and changing it every 18 months - just draining the radiator & overflow bottle and replacing that.

I swapped mine out at 100k (3.5 years old). They looked good and felt ok on the truck. However after I took them off I was suprised at how soft a couple of them were. The lower radiator hose was the worse. The heater hoses were still good but replaced them as well. I also changed out my intercooler boots. The lower pass side was very close to getting a hole in it. There is a sensor (ac I think) that it had been rubbing on and had started wearing through. The stock intercooler boots were pathetic compared to the new ones (silicone) ones I replaced them with.

Thanks for the replies. BarryG, I appreciate the comments about the intercooler boots, I didn't even think about those. I may wait awhile since I only have 42k miles on the truck even though it's been 4.5 years. Just hate the thought of a hose bursting while I'm driving on the freeway or in rush hour traffic.
