Reset the APPS, now I've got a hard start....

Well my truck was jumping from gear to gear, which it has done before serveral times and I fixed it by resetting the APPS. I've done this many times, but this time when I went to go crank the truck up after resetting the APPS I had a hard start. Usually the truck will crank right up with no problems. Now I have to keep the key in the start position for alteast 5 seconds and then it will turn over. I tried resetting it again, but it just does the same thing. I just checked over all my fuel lines and everything is tight. What could it be? I mean it cranked up fine all day until I reset the APPS.

Any ideas?

hard start

don't supose it maybe the check valve in there allowing fuel to loose syphion??? Any CEL's?? Or Try and unplug and replug the vp-44 plug in. Fuel or fuel shut off voltage. Try and remove the apps and adjust the POT on the back of the apps, my voltage was quite low from what it was suposed to be.

My check engine light isn't on and I sold my Superchips a while back so I can't run it for codes. I guess I'll have to run up to Autozone.

This is aggervating the crap outta me.

Well I rechecked my fittings and noticed that one of my Vulcan fittings at the Filter housing and one of them was a wee bit lose, so I tightened it back up. However that still didn't fix the problem. I think my Holley Blue pump is about pumped out....:bang When I go to turn the key to let the pump run for sec and let the grid heater heat up if need be I noticed the my FP gauge needle was going up and then going back down. Usually it will go to about 7psi and go right back down and I can hear the pump for a second or so. Now it does it on occasion, but if I bump the starter then the FP gauge jumps up to 12psi like it always does and my Blue pump pumps like it usually does when the start has been bumped.

So what do you guys think? Is it time to get a Walbro 391 or 392 or is there a better pump to be had?

Does your voltmeter take a big dive when you try to start the truck?
