replacing metal fuel lines

I have a leak somewhere causing a loss of prime, and I was thinking of continuning the rubber hose from the lift pump all the way to the tank. The maxflow system scotty developed that I run already takes rubber hose to the frame which connnects to the factory hard line. Do you think that a lift pump or a higher output pump (scotty has a new pump in the works) could cause enough suction to colapse the line, should a guy use internal braided line?

I use USCG approved hose all the way back to the tank on 12 valves all the time with no problem. The Coast Guard approved hose is about twice as thick as regular fuel line, it would take one heck of a Monica to suck it flat.

regular 3/8 fuel hose would probably work then, the stuff scotty uses says 250 psi rated

you will collapse regular fuel line unless you put in a pusher pump seen it happen twice.

I can't see how it would collapse the hose unless there was a heck of a restriction at the tank pickup.

(Good one infidel!! )

you may not collapse it for a while but it will and it will be at a bad time, and it will be a SOB to diagnose, it sounds like infidel has the drop on a better alternative to schucks special fuel line, just think,
fuel line-cheap version .80 per foot

fuel line-uscg version .81 per foot

that scream you let out when you collapse cheap fuel line and smoke $$$1,000.00 VP 44 .....PRICELESS

perhaps you should check my "high flow fuel lines for cheapo's post" I love to save money, the fuel line might take 30 psi but it wont take sh*t for vaccuum in the summer towing your trailer up Lookout Pass. Ask bill what/where he gets his hose, I have the same stuff on my boat and it is WAY stiffer!
