Replace crank sensor, vibration saga

Per the below link....

http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/98...w-problem.html

UPDATE:

Ok, so I had an oil pan gasket leak anyways, so I decided to pull the pan and see if I could possibly find what happened during my sensor change and make sure all looked good, Attached is a pic of the #6 area.

All looks fine and tight. But I did find my BROKEN DRILL BIT I had used to drill out the sensor. My question is, would the bit in the pan somehow throw the balance off? The tone ring looks great, all teeth look fine and no play. New sensor looks brand new on the end....
Any ideas before I lock her back up????

Thinking out loud, you mentioned your dampner, is it possible that with out the cranks sensor working it was not measuring the vibration out of balance of the crank and now it is and trying to correct for it and causing it to run rough.

The dampner doesn't have a sensor on it so I doubt that. More concerned with the drill bit, because Idid hear it clanking around in the pan which is also why I pulled the pan...
