reliable shop(s) in Prince George?

looking for a reliable stand-behind-their-work shop in or close to Prince george BC Canada. not necesarily cummins specialized but diesel savvy. looking to farm out some projects (like timing advance) that i dont have the time tools or interest to do, and would appreciate any feedback.

Not sure what you mean exactly - general diesel work or fuel injection related work ?

I have had work done by Star Tech Diesel on Quinn Street South - when they were doing business as Fred Holmes. I had injectors tested and set and also have had the timing set a couple of times on my old (but still running) 1986 F250. I know that several of the employees have worked there for quite a few years and seem to be very knowledgeable about their work.
Maybe give them a call at 250-563-9277.

Don't know about the general diesel work as there are several large truck and equipment dealers (White star, Cat, John Deere etc.) in the area plus smaller outfits. I am sure the dealers will be pretty pricey. You might need to phone around and see what you can find out. Possibly Star Tech could recommend a shop for you to check out ?

As far as I know, Star Tech are pretty good - I was happy with their work.
They will take a pump in to work on and I believe they will also work on the pump in the truck - you need to give them a call and ask. I am sure they would be happy to help out.

Prince George Fuel Injection on Opie Crescent, is another injection outfit. I have had no dealings with them so I cannot really comment.

As far as who not to deal with in Prince George - Prince George Radiators is definately one place I would avaoid. I had some A/C work done and did get taken to the cleaners over their work. If you need any work done, just don't do business with Prince George Radiators - they are dishonest in my opinion and I would never use them again for anything.

Please let us kow how you make out.
