I have the recon on my 99, but it doesn't come w a fuel pressure kit...asked Quadzilla, they told me that a FP kit for Dodges is on the work.but not avaible for now. I use it for Trans, EGT and Boost;

Been using a recon for I think two years now. It's a good multi monitor for its size and price. You can only view one category at a time, but you are able to scroll through all that are hooked up by pushing either of the first two buttons, no auto scroll. There is even a memory of each ones peak reading before you turn the power off.
The FP kit is no longer offered, and not sure if they changed the face design, but all pictures googled still show "fuel" on the lower right corner. I went through three different sending units under warranty for the FP, and have a snubber on this last one to hopefully prolong its life. The guys at Quadzilla Power said they were trying to work on a transducer type sensor, since they were having bad luck with conventional pressure sending units. Unfortunately they mentioned the current models wouldn't work with transducers.
If any of you who still have the FP are looking for a sending unit, Datcon was the manufacture. Somebody in the past had posted where to get one, so I can't take credit, but appreciate them for doing so. Vehiclecontrols is the place, and not sure if it's listed, but if you call and ask they can tell you if they have one stocked. Supposedly it was a low demand item that Datcon didn't have high production of, but some are made. The first one used was a 100psi sender, but Quadzilla later reflashed mine to use a 40psi for better accuracy which was the latest kit offered.
Oh, btw, don't get one from Nordskog. They have a 40psi unit that works, well, worked for about 8hrs before failure and not register any pressure, and would not warranty b/c their engineer said I blew it up
"Blew up?" I asked, "but it didn't even leak"
He said it was the first one of their products he'd ever seen to have literally come apart on the inside. The words 'manufactured defect' seemed to not be in his vocabulary and the owner wouldn't budge either. I got partial in store credit, but don't see buying anything from them again. Needless to say, stay away.

Needless to say, stay away.I 2nd this. I went through 3 recon units before i got one that worked. They refused to refund money and started sticking me with shipping on the last few units. I also had pyro discrepancies between the three units as much as 100 degrees. If I had to do over again I would go with manual gauges, or save your pennies and go with the edge product.
HD sender around $55. Don't know what you have under your hood for plumbing, but mine is at VP. Vulcan kit gives 1/8 npt port at pump connection. You can get a replacement banjo bolt for your IP and put it there. Also re-read my last post and learn from my experience.
Assuming you already have a recon, if you add this to it, you use the wire that was for the oil temp. Then you have to switch the recon itself. By that I mean you toggle the oil temp to FP during initial setup, but don't ask how I did it b/c it was too long ago, it wasn't mentioned in the instructions, and I forgot what all I did to get it switched. Maybe somebody with a better memory will chime in.
Dahla, one thing you might want to take into consideration before buying a sending unit. Since Quad is not offering the kit anymore, they may or may not have flashed the recon's FP range from 100 ( original ) down to 40 ( latest ). If their internals came preset to 100 range from the supplier of components, they might not be bothering with the change any longer. Don't quote me on this, but it is something to think about. Better to know for sure before spending money on the wrong sending unit. If you want to see what range yours is at, after you toggle the oil temp to FP, and only after you do that, you can ground that one sensor wire and the recon will show maximum range for that particular parameter, then you'll know which one to buy.
