Rear main seal
In the middle of replacing my clutch and thought it would be wise to replace the rear main seal while I have everything apart. I have no desire to go through all this again.....
Does anyone know where the best place to get a seal is? I've heard there are many upgrades to this seal in order to combat leaks so I'm looking for the best source.

Honestly, if your stock one has done fine, then replace it with a stock one. Most of the seal failures you see are a direct result of improper installation.
I have not known cummins rear seals to be much of an issue. Yes, they do fail, but so do everyone else's.
Doing this while youre in there is an excellent game plan. I do them every time I'm in the clutch housing, unless I know for a fact that the existing seal is almost new.

Besides, San Diego and SF are about 8 hours apart. And I'm hours north of SF too.
