Rear end hop in reverse going up hill?

I have noticed this in the last few months. I have not experienced it prior to now........ I have driven it every day for the last 7 years. Any ideas?

Was it while you were turning? I noticed once I swapped in my limited slip that I'd get some chatter out of the rear end while backing up with a load on up a hill and turning slightly. I added a bit of LSD friction modifier and it helped it out quite a bit.

Could be spring wrap and maybe your springs are just starting to show their wear and tear. I noticed my hop got worse as time went by as well. I may very well be wrong here but in my case it seemed the more my front springs sagged the worse it seemed to get. I have traction bars on the rear just for that reason and the more my front sagged the tighter I would have to make the traction bar adjustment to compensate for it to get rid of the hop in the soft stuff. Or should say not tighter but had to adjust them to get the same tightness/tension.

Sounds like your truck has some nice torque. Try putting 1000 pounds in the bed of the truck and see if you have the same problem. I have a steep driveway. If i go up it with too much pedal it will slip. My driveway sometimes has black streeks.... Where do they come from ?

My guess would be worn out rear shocks.

I have a 1200lb camper on the truck and another couple of hundred lb's of equipment back there at all times. I am thinking springs.

Might be enough reason here to go with the KORE suspension and get the new spring pack.
