Rear end clunking/jerking

I did a gear change in the fall and went with pure synthetic oil. Now im noticing after driving for a while, when i turn a corner , it feels like the rear wheels grabbing and jerking like the front wheels do when they are locked in 4x4 on concrete. After going back to straight driving, everything is fine. I dont have no posi fluid in there. It only does it when warmed up....When going around a corner real slow, its almost like "clunk...clunk..clunk...." almost on a timed thing....straighten the wheels and it goes away.....

Put 2 4 ounce bottles of LS additive in the differential. Run it for a few days and it should get better.

After adding limited slip additive make a few 360 turns to get the additive working between clutches. Juct a friction modifier to allow clutches to slip when turning corners.

I dont think its good for it. The clutches should release quietly. I had a friend who used the Valvoline synthetic in his and his brothers trucks without the additive and the both ended up rebuilding the LS carrier. He claimed using the Valvoline snynthetic that he did not heed the additive. The rule on the additive is 7 percent of fill capacity. So 3 quarts 96 ounces equals 6.72 ounces of additive. I just put 2 bottles in and top first and fill it to the level with gear lube.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Have been convinced that all gear lubes require the LS additive regardless of their claim. Do figure 8's to work additive into clutches. If noise continues or will not meet resistance standard, then you will also need LS repairs. JMHO of course.
