I am changing the carrier bearings on my 99 and was wondering if anyone knew what the torque specs are on the carrier bearings caps. Also while I was under the truck I looked up and seen that there was tranny fluid on the underside of my bed right by the driveshft and the transfer case. I looked at the seal on the transfer case and it was dry so the leak doesn't seem like it was coming from the seal. I then took the driveshaft off and it seems that the yoke on the driveshaft is leaking right behind the universal joint. Anybody ever heard of that before!!! If so is there a fix or do you need to get a new yoke.Thanks

 

Search google for Dana's (Spicer) web site They have all the info there. I printed it once and have now lost it. Perfect seeing how my diff. is torn apart right now. I'll be searching with you.

My manual says 80 ft-lbs for the bearing caps. Remember they must go back on the same way they came off.
