if any of you have seen my recent posts, I have been doing somewhat of an overhaul in the last few days.

It started the other day with a dead truck, giving me the deap IP codes.
Right now I have installed the CAI, stage 5 nozzles, and a new IP. When I go to start it, i get the exact same result. No start. Am I missing something?? Anyone have any tips that I may be overlooking?? I can really use the help at the moment... Is it possible at all that the lp is causing this?? I just replaced it 6 months ago... I am going to be installing the FASS kit next weekend. Should I wait and just do that, or buy a LP and try it out? I really would love to hear it run tomorrow. Any ideas would be priceless. thanks

 

Have you cracked your injector lines loose and made sure all the air is bled out and that you have fuel spewing out???

 

yes sir, first thing I did...

 

Double check all connections to the VP ( electrical) . Sure the timing is on? I had one I put on ( man I hate to admit it ) that the shaft rotated and the keyway wasn't matched up! What a mess that ended up being. Don't ever lose the key or mash it like I did. There are over 50 different keys! the are all differend offsets. not just everyone keeps them in stock either! Anyhow, those are a couple of things to check.

 

Keyway is good, that is one thing I watched with a mirror as I tightened...whats wierd is it is acting the same as it did when it died to begin with. Not even attempting to start

 

May be the ECM then...... lets hope not. There is also a fairly common problem with the wire from the ecm to the pump. Can't remember for sure which one now! It can give the 216 code too.

 

got two of each code, p0122, p1689, p1688, p0380

Tried the apps reset. Then cleared out codes. Not starting, but now only getting the 0380 code. SO the others were probably just from when I didnt clear them before

 

did you remove the dust covers off the ends of the injectors befor installing them,,,haha just joking,,,sorry your having a problem after all that work you just did...hope it gets better for you.

airplaneman, where did you get your new IP from, Im looking to get one myself, and dont know who to trust--BlueChip is expensive but they have some selling points, and others say anyone is fine because they are all going to have the updates. but I want to make sure the one I get next will go a long way.
