P-Pump?s I really need some HELP

Ok I have a Fertilizer Spreader at work with an 8.3L that has a P-Pump. I just want to turn it up about 30-40hp and get some more rpms out of it to. So if you guys could show me some pictures with instructions on how to do this it would be greatly appreciated.

I would look at the pages on the cumminsdatabase .. The theory is the same. Gently slide the plate forward 0.010" at a time..

P pump cutaway.

Okay, you see the AFC housing in pic 1. Pull that off, 4 bolts, one may be tamper proof, you need a replacement bolt if it is. Under that, you will be looking right at the fuel plate which is held in by two bolts. Loosen the bolts, and slide the plate towards the inj lines. However far you slide it, the more fuel. As you will see, there is not alot of room to slide, but a little movement makes a difference. Try moving in increments, maybe 1/16th inch. Be carefull not to overpower you drivetrain. Good Luck
