Question on straight pipe

I have an 02 HO 6speed. Do I have a converter or just a resonator and factory muffler? Should I just cut the stock muffler off or both of them. Also will this cause any computer problems. Thanks

You have a resonator and a muffler. Cut them both off and get a big piece of 3.5" straight pipe. Sounds great! However, just call Mark Craig at DPPI and order an MBRP 4", sounds even sweeter! As far as codes go, you won't get any, just a better sound. I highly advise straight pipe to anyone. That way them Ferds know your coming....

Cut everything off. I haven't had any codes come up for making mine straight pipe yet. It really sounds good.

straight pipe is fine... there are no sensors(yet) in the exhaust to worry about like on those gassers.

Good plan Mike. The exhaust on a diesel has NOTHING to do with the ECM. Thats the beauty of it! Straight is good!
