My tranny is stuck in first gear. After awhile in pops in to second and up to third but not overdrive. I was told I need a govenor sensor and transducer. Nobody at napa knows the difference. I bought a governor sensor but what is the other thing. Does anyone have #s for both parts. Is it the speed sensor that is the other part? help

 

The sensor and transducer are two names for the same device. What you probably need is a govenor pressure transducer (sensor), and a governor pressure solenoid.

And you probablly will get it from the dealer. Some high end trans rebuilders have access also.
