My warranty is up on this trans, I am trying to save some $$$ and do it myself.

i dont blame you. i did mine with the help of a friend, well he did it and i helped.

Put the billet in when you do it. I've had a regular one break and then a better quality break. The trans guy put a billet in last time and no problems since. I pulled the tranny both times and took it to him. He put in free and even put a clutch pack in he said had a little wear on it. The pump has to come out to do it right.Good luck!

Why does the pump need to come out? Can't I just remove the plug and slide the shaft out of the way?

what i could see you don't need to pull the pump to change the lever ,,, pull the trans ,tq converter off,,, and valve body .... by the way my first tranny was built by suncoast
