What does it apply to?

I just came accross this phrase and could not help but wonder if it could be applied to any of our discusions.

I think that is the holy mantra of the media.

Of course I could be mistaken because I'm not sure they ever had any facts.

I personaly got it from the americasdebate web site, but yes it was out of a conspiracy theory thread. I do like light reading at night. I do not know who coined tha phrase tho.

One of my personal favorites:

Ideology is the mechanism whereby facts are ignored, altered or created in order to protect cherished dogma.

This is big with the "________ RULES" crowd.
