I have tried looking on both the drivers and passengers side for the casting and it either is not there or I am looking in the wrong place. If it isn't a 53 then would it have any other casting number in its place or was this just a one time thing where they put a casting number on? Just curious so that I know either way. thanks for any info...

Yes I have seen that already, but when I look on the drivers side, next to where the wire loom is bolted to the block...its smooth...there is nothing. So thats why I asked. Thanks for the reply bumpy.
