Pusher pump install
Pusher pump install
I am looking at needing a pusher pump in the near future. I know they are fairly inexpensive. Has anybody installed one on their own, or is this a job for a local shop like BMD>

I think Steve St.Laurent has info on his website showing how he did his install. Plus, you might find some info using the search function. Steve's site

Thanks. I thought he might be after the dyno day fuel pressure. I talked to will about this the other day. With the injectors and the box I am getting he said I may need to get one sometime. I want to get it right away so I don't harm those most reliable lift pumps. Thanks again oldred97 8)

hired gun,

It's a fairly easy install, but really depends on your abillity. You need to cut the stock feed line, and splice in the new pump (minor fuel dripping down your arm, if you disconnect the line from the tank first) mount the bracket,(three self tapping bolts), mount the pump (three nuts) run the wires and relay, (two to ground,(one from the relay) one to the stock lift pump, one to power, and one from the relay to the new pump), then your done. Peice of cake, takes about an hour.

Later, Rob
