Puke Bottle Relocation/Mods
Puke Bottle Relocation/Mods
I am tired of the oil on everything and see in member's signatures "Puke Bottle Relocation". What did you do to take care of this? Photos would be great.

Everyone will do it different. Here is my take.
Got a empty spray paint can and cut top off. Bolted it to frame or bracket in pocket in front of left battery.
Secured three feet of clear reinforced vinyl hose and ran from engine to spray paint can and placed puke bottle in can. Then wrapped some air cleaner foam in top of can to stop oil.
My engine with higher milage and pulling heavy trailer does blow some vapor and still have to clean occasionally. Thought this was better than dropping on ground.

Thanks for the info...Seems like everyone does this a little different...So did I...
Instead of using a sock, I sewed a black spandex tube about 8" long, doubled it over and slid it over the bottle. I'm hoping that it will let enough vapors out and not to build up pressure while stopping the oil from spraying on everything. Being black, you don't even notice it there like you would a sock.
Not sure if this is my final cure but it took < 5 minutes to do with what I had in the house.
