PSI gauge installation Instructions needed

I want to put a PSI gauge in my truck. My sig has the make and model. What range gauge works the best? I also have no idea where to hook it up at. I am assuming after the fuel filter??? I searched for post but was unable to find anything. Can someone please give me some instructions and pic’s if possible. Thanks a bunch!

Little-bit, You can use a 30 psi gauge. I believe on the 2002 models you can hook the gauge up to the schrader valve on the injection pump. I don't have any pictures or instructions.

I found this picture. Look for a black cap on the side of your vp44, it's the cover for the schrader valve.

Here is an example of a fuel pressure line that will hook up to a schrader valve.

Are you going to just add the fuel pressure gauge and no others?

I just want the fuel pressure gauge. Is that a special fitting to screws into the VP44?

Don't forget to remove the valve from inside the {schrader valve} before hooking up your FP line to your gage , you can remove it with the same tool you use on your tire's.

If you intend to have the gauge in the cab you should use an isolator that keeps the fuel on the other side of the firewall and only has glycol on the passenger side.

Review the stuff availible from Geno' garage. They have all the miscellaneous stuff that can make your life easier for a fuel pressure gauge addition. If anything, it will give you some ideas.
I eventually went with a 30 psi Westach (electric) gauge, and tapped a transducer in with a hose like the photo above. The schrader valve is a bleed port at the fuel inlet.

Most people go witha mechanical gauge hooked up direct. No problems ever reported, that I have seen. isolators give false readings & also fail. Genos is a good source and can give you good documentation.
Good luck!
