I had my truck towed to the dealer Thursday and it was running BAD. Dead pedal sort of thing. Get it up above idol and it would shut back down to idol. Then when sitting at idol with no throttle it would start surging.
They hooked her up To get the codes and reset the computer. Now its running fine and theyu are trying to get it to run bad again. Anyone have this happen to them? The codes before I took it were 1492 and 1693 1689?

 

1689 is one of the VP death codes (No comm between ECM and Fuel Inj. Pump). The electronics in the VP can deteriorate with time, vibration, and heat cycles, and you can get intermittent failures like this. You most probably need a new VP.
