Power Window Mod

I am having the hot hard start issue on this 01 that I just bought. It has the fass hpfp on it. I know its too much pressure cuz I pulled the fuse out of the fass harness and the truck would fire up immediately every time like it should.

I was reading about the power window mod. How are you guys getting to this fuse wire? I was just gonna put a fuse tap on it but the fuse tap won't fit back in the slot. And behind the fuse panel is very hard to get to. I was just wondering if I was doing something wrong or if there is an easier way to go about this. Thanks

At Sears (and probably many auto parts stores) they sell this little Add-a-Fuse device (like this http://www.amazon.com/Littelfuse-FHA.../dp/B0002BGELQ). This is the right way to go, but I have stuck the wire directly into the fuse holder and jammed the fuse in before. And the sad part, it is still like that . Truly, there is nothing more permanent than something temporary.

Thank you Paul, I did what you did for now and it totally fixed my problem. I will fix it the right way later on, but this will work for now. She fires right off like it should now.

That is exactly what I said about 6 months ago. Hopefully you have a better ability to follow through than I do...
Glad to hear she starts up better now!
Cheers,
