My 99 when I crowd it at about 70 mph loses all power and when I push in the clutch and let it go back to idle it will pick up and go on. It is getting worse and i wondered if anyone might know if it may be fuel or maybe my wastegate dumping prematurely. Just would like to know where to start. Thanks

 

check the codes in the truck first. You can do this by turning the ignition switch on and off ( without cranking the truck ) 3 times and look at your odometer and it will show you any codes the computer has thrown.

Symptoms sound like a dead/dying injection pump.

 

You say Looses ALL power,,, Engine shuts off??? Or It goes to Idle?? Dont touch the go pedal for 10 seconds Then all works OK???

Sounds Just like mine,, I replaced APPS all set now..Got a use one on ebay for $52.00. If you have a standard you CAN use an automatic's APPS but Not Visa versa,,,I have pics in my gallery to show the difference..


What does it mean to CROWD it??

 

does it belch any smoke? I would try an apps reset before I bought any parts. there is a procedure for resetting the apps that would be wort a try, search for apps on here.

 

does not smoke just loses all power. Motor seems to be running fine just loses power and when i push in clutch and let it go to idle just for a second, when i let out the clutch it will run as if nothing is wrong
