FYI

I think this may have something to do with the "Dead Pedal". I had DP occure 3 times 4 days ago for the 1st time. Up until that the truck has run flawlessly since day one with regular maintence. The temps were in the mid to upper 90 here in SC. The occurances all happened at hywy speeds. Letting off the accel pedal did reset it. When I got home I pulled the Van Aken plug n power and checked for codes. I did get an p0500 code which is related to the vehicle speed sensor??? So yesterday I cleared the codes left the box out and have had no problems yet. The truck is an 02 and only has 35,000 miles on it.

A fuel pressure guage is now on order.

I have an appointment for the dealer next monday. No dead pedal but the CEL is on. The idle is begining to get lopey, and power is a little less. MY codes are 0216 and 1693.
