OK experts,

Had a really wierd thing happen this weekend when I was pulling up a pretty good hill with my camp trailer on. It was pulling hard, EGT's about 1200 deg. running about 24 PSI boost not accelarating, but keeping a steady speed when all of a sudden, my boost drops out, I loose speed and my EGT's start dropping!! I let off, hit the gas again and all start coming back up.

What the heck happened?? Tis happened once before, with similar circumstances, hauling the trailer, pulling big hill and when I stoped nothing was wrong.

Oh yeah, my trailer weighs about 9000# or a little less, and I had the quads on the back of the truck.

I do have some mods, but the first time this happened I did not have anything.

Please Help!!!!!

Try the APPS reset. Did it set any codes?

I reset mine a few times and finally had to replace it. Sometime it will set a code.
If that's the problem, buy it fromm Cummins, not a Dodge dealer.

 

OK, will give that a try. Only thing is that it happens only when pulling. Maybe it is just because it is the only time I am at WOT for an extended period of time
