Possible APPS or Cruise Control Issue. PLEASE HELP..

Because yours is an '01, I'm sure that's true. But as I said, according to the '02 FSM, an '02 with 6 speed manual does not use vacuum for the cruise control.
Cap'n Ram, your problem is most likely a vacuum leak. A common spot for the line to get broken is under the driver's side battery tray.
