Poppin into neutral

Im posting this for my preacher. Hes got a 99 4wd automatic with a edge comp. He said that sometimes when hes drivin down the road his transmission just goes to neutral. He said all he has to do is put it back down in Drive, but its a little aggravating because it just does it randomly. Any ideas on what it could be?

Maybe his shifter linkage is not adjusted properly- you could try to unhook it at the tranny and compare the position of the lever on the tranny with the position of the shift lever.
Another possibility is a bad transmission mount. (rubber separated from the metal part)

Mine did this as well just after I got it back from the tranny shop. They corrected it with a simple linkage adjustment of some sort.
