PM3 probs
PM3 probs
Installed PM3. Truck now shudders and bucks under acceleration. I have soldered the pump wire and ground wire, and rechecked MAP connections. Any suggestions before I call Rod?
Sounds OK so far- have you checked for codes? Does it buck under full load only or does it start bucking when rolling on the pedal and stop bucking when you are running WOT ?

I got rid of my last stumbles and buckings by replacing the quck connect fitting on the tank with a rubber hose. I had fine air bubbles in the fuel. On stock power this wasn't noticeable but with the ponies on steroids consumption got big enough that the air in the fuel got a nuisance.

Well this morning after pulling out of the coffee stop, the truck died. Coasted off to the side and cranked. Nothing. Turned box off, waited a minute or so and she fired up and seemed fine all the way to work.
Gman: I think it's time to call Rod.(I have very good experience with his product support!) It might be a faulty box, or some trouble in the wiring harness. I'd say that a brief visit to autozone or the like to get codes checked could prove worthwhile.
Good Luck!

Try to get your codes checked nevertheless. Maybe there's some other problem hidden somewhere that did surface because of the box. I think that reading codes should be part of the regular maintenance. I do go a little further and take tha truck for a spin with the obd2 tester attached and plot various sensor outputs- helped me a lot to find some small stuff going bad- like IAT (connector corroded- there was no rubber gasket in the plug) andsome others.
