Does a VP-44 on the 24 valve even have one? The P7100 on the 12 valve engines have one.

Wonder how many 24 valvers have been replacing lift pumps when the problem is really the overflow valve?
On a 12 valve the overflow valve is probably the single most componet that fails over time.

if it is the over-flow valve that goes bad, how come when the lp is replaced it fuel pressure is back to what it should be?

The lift pump is a seperate problem alltogether.

The question is, how many VP-44's are being replaced without considering that the overflow valve could be the problem....

aside from the lp, vp and overflow valve, what else along the fuel line alone fails regularly?

Well I can't get the part from anyone. Every dealer I call says the part is a piece in the VP44 and can't be replaced alone. Does anyone ahve the connection at a dealer that would know what the aprt is?

Thanks

Is the overflow valve part of the banjo bolt, or is it mounted/inserted behind the bolt.
And is it on all vp-44's or just certain years.

The place seems to be pretty good.

good find....for what it costs its sure worth a shot at replacing the OF valve rather than spending major chingo on a VP-44

the number is 1 467 445 003 it is a bosch number most good fuel shops should
have it but i think your off on thinking that the overflow valve is a problem. The open about 7psi or maybe a little higher

It will not fix your truck and you will buy a VP-44.....you heard it here first. (assuming you have tested the rest of your fuel system as suggested in your other post).
