pain in the rear sensor

anyone else have a heck of a time changing out a crank sensor right there behind the starter. before i learned if they didnt come out you had to drop the oil pan and pry it out from the inside due to the plastic melting to the block, i spent about 4 hours trying everything i could think of to get it out and my flatrate time at the shop was .6. wow a whole 36 min to do all of that.

I've heard folks talk about those being a REAL pain to remove.

I changed mine a month ago, popped right out.

Must be corrosion and crud building up from winter driving or off road excusions.

I've always used a small prybar between the block and the bracket while spinning the sensor. Worked for me everytime.
