p0336 miss & no tach
this is on a friends 99, the crank sensor has been changed twice, and the cam sensor has also been changed, the truck starts and misses really bad for about 5-10 seconds and the tach works while its doing this, then the engine smooths out and the tach completey dies and it runs like it is in limp mode, (major power loss) does this sound like the tone ring on the crank, or someother electrical issue? what is the best way to check the tone ring?

Does not sound like tone wheel on crankshaft!!
i havent done much with the 24v electrical, but do you know if it is a 2 or 3 wire connector on the crank sensor? just a guess but i think i would be looking for a 5v supply wire from the ecu, and a signal wire back to the ecu, and possibly a groung wire if it has 3? is this correct?

Here's a diagram that might help you.

Did the 2 crank sensors you pulled out have a groove cut into the end of it?
