P0121 & P0336 DTC's
P0121 & P0336 DTC's
Over the last couple of weeks my check engine light has come on a couple of times and either the same day or a day or two later gone out. One time it came on and the engine just kind layed down for a minute. I pulled off the road for a moment and then it was right back where it was before. My first thoughts were that the injection pump was headed south.
Well, today my Actron came in and I pulled these two codes:
P0121 Throttle/Petal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Range/Performance Problem
P0336 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance
They came up both as current and pending.
I feel a little better now about the VP44, but I will feel much better after my fuel pressure gauge comes in.
The question now is what should my next move be? Replace one or both? I will probably order a diagnostic manual from tech authority.
Here is a good link for DTC's if any one needs it:

The list in the FAQ's did not have the P0121.

Acording to my manual the P0121 is either TPS signal does not correlate to MAP sensor signal, or, APPS voltage input below the minimum acceptable voltage. P0336 is problem with voltage signal from Crankshaft Position Sensor. This is from the service manual as given as a breif description of DTC. Hope this helps.
