Overdrive Housing

has anyone ever cracked the overdrive housing/case mine has crack twice now just pickin outta the air why it might be doin this

I think there's another thread going right now about a cracked housing. It may be on a 3rd gen though.

Have heard of housing failures. Seems all have HP valve bodies. Where does it break? Perhaps a picture of failure is avaliable?
I have postulated that extremelly high OD pressure in the clutch could break the housing around one or more retaining bolts. It goes without saying that a incorrect buildup of OD unit could contribute also.

It's cracking from driveshaft wobble. carrier bearing or u-joints. Have them checked out.
