Oil leaking

I am trying to find the user recommendations what to do with that vent that comes out the front side of the engine. It is leakings oil and making a heck of a mess on under the truck. I believe I read it was a engine vent or something and I thought I read there was some kit you can put on it to catch the little bit of oil that comes out.

Thanks!

Most people seem to build their own kit.Your truck may or may not have come with a small bottle attached to the bottom of the breather tube to catch drips. The bottle was a poor idea, as it would trap all the oily vapors within the fan shroud then the fan would blow it around and make a huge mess.

The most common repair seems to be throwing the bottle away, then just extending the breather tube a foot or so, until it dumps well out of the fan shroud area. Some will go as far as to extend the tube into the front wheel well area, or back behind the engine, and then install the catch-bottle back on the end, but I don't like the idea of having curves, bends, or that much extra length in case the tube gets restricted or frozen.
