Oil leak

I have 2000 Dodge 2wd/5 spd.
I drips oil constantly.... I struggle to find from where... I know I can do the glow in the dark stuff... My question; it seems to be coming from where the PS pump interfaces to the "adaptoid" on the block.... Is this a common problem ? Is this even possible? It's definately oil, not ps fluid....

Any comments?

Are you definately, possitively sure it's not coming from the oil pan gasket. I've had on and off problems with mine. I have a 53 block but I haven't told my truck that yet.

The bottom of the ps pump seems to be the wettest area.... I realize there is a lot of windage down there, but it seems the pan leak wouldn't get that much oil up there... But I'll check again. Is the pump shaft driven on this thing? Im in WI and if it wasn't so cold I'd spend some time under there. I thought I'd bounce is off you guys.
How do I find out about this 53 block? Is this a casting #?

53 block info is all over this site. Do a search in this forum for more info. It has more to do with cracks forming on the passenger side of the block than anything else. I do get an oil leak once in a while from the pan gasket but it comes and goes. I have no idea why I and I don't think I want to know.

Thanks Dieselfan! Fron the link you gave me it sure looks like the culprit!
So I've had lift pump/main injector pump failures too. That and constant front end wear issues.... Do the 05's address these? I'm thinking about a new(er) truck, and the GM's seem buggy as hell, and the Fords 6.0 not as strong as the old 7.3.... I test drove an 05 and it rips your face off!
