That's odd, mine holds 14 quarts.

Oops, I forgot I have the dual remote.

 

I have an 01 and mine says 11qts also, but when I check it its always a qt low , so now I add 12qts and it pretty much on the mark.

 

I always put in 12 qts. No excessive blowout of oil, either.

You won't have the crank spinning through oil with an extra quart, and it won't foam. You will have about 1-2 qts circulating through the engine, so don't sweat it.
