ok How much is anyone else putting in there 99 ctd 24 valve engine. books say 10, dip stick shows top of safe at 8 , owners manual says lower safe is 8 and upper safe is 10. any other input is welcome???????????

10ish, hard to tell exact when pumping into 3 gal jug from 50 gal drum.

It 's not that critical, just fill till you see it run out from under the truck because you left the drain plug out . Or till you can see it over the valves .

I think 97 and older are. Pretty sure 24V are 10.
