offline defuel?

seems like my truck defuels from a dead stop when i put a foot in it, it goes hard then its like i let off the gas then it goes hard again. any ideas on what the problem is or how to fix this? thanks

Have you checked for any codes? Could be an APPS problem. Key on-off-on-off-on and watch the odometer.

Mine does the same thing goes like hell then slows down then goes again.

SOP for 2001-2002 trucks.
Saves wear and tear on the auto trannies that Dodge knew couldn't handle the low RPM torque of the Cummins.

There are a couple of aftermarket solutions, but they are meant for drag racing conditions, not everyday driving.

Is it when its shifting? The newer 2nd gen autos have torque management in the lower gears, do they not? Just throwing an idea out.

Did it do it before the juice? I notice both of you have that installed. If it goes away, a phone call to Edge would be the next step.

does it in first, stopped then wot. also does while shifting but figured it was normal then to prevent wear

Its the torque management feature. Its on the 01-02 autos to help save the trans. I think its the bd rad box that eliminates it. Im shure smarty eliminates it. The juice mite have something in there to get rid of it too. You will just have to look at all the functions and see if its there.
