I've got an 4500 in my first gen so I figured you guys would be the ones to ask. It has the updated shaft and 5th gear nut done to it. But what I'm having the problem with is only in 5th gear when I'm using the engine to slow down (coming off big hill just letting my foot off the accelerator peddel) I can hear a tick noise, there is no rythem to it at all, just a tick. You can slighly feel it if you put your hand on the shifter. And this is the only way I can make it happen unless I run the truck up way to fast for the street and then just let off and "coast" down in gear. Any and all help thanked in advance.
