No WTS light/No lift pump prime, crank only no start
02 6 speed manual 4x4 with 385k mile. 3 weekends ago I used the truck to run some errands around town, ran great no issues. Came home had lunch went to leave truck started ran for 3 seconds died and won’t start. Truck gave no signs or indications of anything faulty or or strange. Truck no longer has the WTS light or lift pump prime when the key is turned to the run only position like it use to. I have been over everything multiple times, fuses, relays, wire connections, proper voltages at Ecm plug, grounds ect ect. I can’t find anything out of normal. I have tried 2 reman ECMs from same place and have the same results as the trucks original. Is there something simple I’m overlooking. I have no codes. I can Hotwire Vp44 and make the truck idle but that is it. Truck is all stock except for a fass lift pump. Im at a complete loss, any and all help greatly appreciated. Thanks

A bad battery or ground can cause havoc with the electronics on these trucks. Start free and cheap, get batteries tested, clean and restore all the grounding wires you can find....
My BIL was stranded in Havre over a holiday weekend...dead in the water waiting for batteries...no codes, no start....

Battery’s have been tested, they are good, grounds have all been cleaned and tested, good. I can jump the injection pump really and the truck will fire right up at the bump of the key. Lift pump is new and works fine when the fass pump relay is jumped. What I’m looking for is what tells the ECM to boot up, where does it get its signal from, PCM, ignition switch? That is the piece of the puzzle that I’m missing. Thanks

Truck was taken to a diesel repair facility and they are telling me the ECM as well, they say that their Snap On scan tool can not connect to the truck, same issue that i had with my matco code reader. They said all pins that are suppose to have voltage and grounds are correct with correct voltage readings. Basically they have reiterated everything that I found before taking it there. The ECM repair facility is saying the fault is in the harness. I’m at a lost as to what/where to go next. Suggestions or thoughts? Thanks
