Re:New lift pump

The ECM will send a 12v signal to the lift pump when the ignition is in the start position. At this point, the lift pump will usually run for about 5 seconds. If the engine is turned over and it does not start, the ECM sends a 12v supply signal to the lift pump to run for 30 seconds to prime the system.

Re:New lift pump

CH, check and make sure the new pump is plugged in good. I know it sounds stupid but it could have something to do with it. You might want to get some Dielectric grease and spray in the ends of the plug as well.

I just mounted my permenent fuel gauge in the truck Saturday and it's great to see what the fuel pressure is under all kinds of driving conditions. I'm going to start looking into a nother fuel supply pump or a pusher set up just to keep the VP44 happy.

DB
