No start plus electrical power loss
99 2500 4x4 at 462k pwr everything and ac. Edge tuner, Air dog, exhaust, and BHAF
This is my first post and I will try to keep it very direct.
Sudden no start no turn over.
batts are good. crossed terminals on starter and turned over but no start.
burnt up small wire to starter. found it was chaffed and shorted near fuel pump.
replaced wire, still no start.
crossed terminals at starter and started right up.
problem is still no start on key, plus no pwr windows, blower motor, and speedometer is out.
starter relay does click when key is turned.
can't find any bad fuses in LH dash or LH under hood.
Thanks for your time!!!

Sorry for the delay
My comp. crashed and I just got a new one last night.
Long story short... I screwed up!
Learned the hard way. I looked over all the fuses and pulled a bunch out. Including the ones in the PDC...All looked good.
Ended up pulling the PDC to check the wires going in the bottom.
When we tipped the PDC to one side we would get power back intermitently.
One of the fuses with the window was blown. but the contacts would rock back and fourth and make contact. When looking at it it appeared to b ok.
Next time I will check all with a meter!!!

LESSON LEARNED
I have been doing a lot of research on the auto tranny. Mine is about gone and I plan to rebuild myself with the help of my father in law who has done quite a few trannies.
I'm confident in our ability to do the job, I'm just tring to figure out where to put my money without going overboard as my budget is limited.
Maybe I will have some useful info to share soon.
