No smoke
Ok, I have a 98.5 24 valve ,and it never smokes, no blue smoke in the morning(there is a guy with a new Dmax that blue smokes for miles in the morning) and no black smoke under load. Is there something wrong. Also my trucks has an intank lp pump(thanks to the previous owner) are they pretty safe or do I need to be watch my FP still.
Thanks

Seeing your in MN, I didn't get any smoke while I was visiting over the summer, lower altitude. Here in Colorado my 24V will smoke quit a bit if I let it but mainly from a stop with a heavy right foot, but it billows until about 10psi of boost.
As for you FP gauge, just get one and then you don't have to worry about what your pressure readings are. I think it should be mandatory that every 2nd gen have a FP gauge. The in tank numbers are going to be a lot lower but I would still want to know what they are just for filter change info.
Good luck.

Any boost numbers? I never smoke unless I'm under 8~ lbs boost and that doesn't happen at 2500rpm it's more like 20+ lbs boost at that RPM for me.

Online I've bought from Genos http://genosgarage.com and http://www.dieselmanor.com/ with great results. Some buy from EBay some locally. Autometer, Isspro in no particular order are some of the favorites many more brands are out there, my opinion is to stay away from the isolator, just use a good gauge and braided stainless steel line into the cab with a snubber of some kind.
