On my motor serial tag says that the motor is 215 hp and when I replaced the pump the tag on it said 235hp and the old pump was original. I used to run a round 22 mile per imprial gal. After new pump down to 17 per mile plus new turbo on over head

 

In case you didnt see my post on CF, whoever you got your pump from gave you a SO pump for a 2000 and up, instead of the 98-99 SO pump you need.

 

The old pump was a 235 hp and it was the stock pump that came with the truck new
