new truck

First post. Just picked up a 2002 dodge cummings 24v HO. 85k miles. Great looking truck, everything checks out mechanically.
Is there anything that I should watch out for or common problems?
Thanks in advance. Dan

well first of all, its cummins.

now, get yourself some gauges. expecially fuel pressure. then boost and a pyro. you dont need a tranny temp because you've got a manual

Fix your sig! LOL

ok, a pyro is a temperature reader that tells you your EGT's (exhaust gas temperatures) you will need to install the probe pre turbo (ie, in your exhaust manifold)

The fuel pressure is very important. This will tell you your fp so you can keep adaquite fp.

The boost isnt all that important, but it could come in handy for diagnoising problems in the future...
