well boys its time to put in a real tranny in the truck. my question is after talking to NADP about there trannys, was looking at the 450 heavy hauler but after all the add ons it came to the same price as the 800 race tranny. one of the big costs was a flex plate, are they recomending this for the extra cash or is this somthing that should be installed. the other add ons was a billet input shaft.im thinking for $5800 i should just get the race tranny that has all the billet shafts.

 

Some will recommend a Flex Plate but I have raced for 5 yrs w/o a replacement and had no problem.
3rd Gens require one. IMO, 2nd Gens do not.
